Los Angeles
Rams at Seattle Seahawks Betting Pick
As
impressive as the 10-4 Seattle Seahawks appear, they’ve failed to record a win
over any certain playoff teams. They struggled last week to hold off a
Washington team that was playing with a backup quarterback.
In Week 16,
they take on the 9-5 Los Angeles Rams in an NFC West rematch.
The Rams,
who suffered an embarrassing 23-20 loss last week to the Jets, won the first
meeting 23-16. Seattle has punched its ticket to the playoffs but is still
battling for the division title.

The
Seahawks trail the Packers in the race for the NFC’s best record but still have
a shot at the bye.
Another win
for the Rams would clinch a playoff spot and give them the edge in the division
race. Los Angeles hasn’t been able to generate a lot of momentum, failing to
win more than two games in a row. The Rams have also followed up all of their
losses with a win.
Seattle
began the season with five straight wins but is only 5-4 since the hot start. A
win over the Rams would give the Seahawks the NFC West title and keep them in
the race for the conference’s best record.

Lines
After
looking at the NFL
odds, you know that Seattle is a slight 1.5-point favorite as the host
team. The over/under is 47.5 for two teams that are averaging a combined 54
points a game. On the moneyline, Seattle has odds of -120, with the Rams at
+110.
Seattle is
7-7 against the spread and 6-8 on the over/under. The Rams are also 7-7 against
the spread but only 4-10 against the over/under.
Game
Preview
It’s always
difficult to beat a team twice in a season in the NFL, especially on the road.
Opposing stadiums don’t pose the same challenge without fans present, but it’s
still tough.
The Rams
are 4-3 away from home in 2020, including wins in their last two at Tampa Bay
and Arizona.
The Rams
are tops in the league in passing and total defense, limiting teams to less
than 290 yards per game. In the first meeting, Seattle managed just 333 total
yards, almost 50 below their season average.
The key to
success for Los Angeles is to be able to turn in a similar defensive
performance.
While
Seattle’s rushing defense is third in the league, it is giving up a league-high
293 passing yards a game. The Rams are 13th in the NFL in passing, so their
attack is potent enough to cause problems for the Seahawks.
The Rams
offense has at least one turnover in every game this season, with four in
losses to Miami and San Francisco. It will be critical for them to win the
turnover battle to get the sweep on the Seahawks.
In the
first meeting, the Rams turned it over once while getting three takeaways from
Seattle.
Game Pick
It has been
a rough season for sports bettors, so there’s no wonder you’re here looking for
free picks. But if you really want to start winning, you need to buy premium NFL picks.
Both teams
have tended to struggle against quality opponents throughout the season. They
each have a bad loss against a team from New York, with the Seahawks losing to
the Giants. The difference in this critical game will be the Rams’ pass rush and
defense.
The
Seahawks have been flirting with disaster for the entire season. Their porous
pass defense will once again hurt them.
Take the
Rams to win and get the over.
Rams 30,
